Hoagy Carmichael Model 214 Bamboo RodFor sale here is a scarce Hoagy Carmichael Jr. Model 214 bamboo rod 7'9" 3 2 for a 5 or 6 weight line. Hoagy only made a little over 100 rods in his rod making career and only three or four of this proprietary model. Progressive medium fast action. Nickel silver pocketed butt cap and polished aluminum down locking seat, all over a gorgeous wood spacer. This rod remains in near mint condition with only very minor signs of use. All sections are straight

and now wish I had at least one of them back

The rod features a translucent glowstick-like unsanded fiberglass blank with cinnamon wraps

The perfect size to hold a #3DT or #4WF

Internals and mechanics are excellent
