Government ship's clock in a brass case, manufactured by Chelsea Clock Co., Boston, Massachusetts. The silvered dial is marked "Chelsea Clock Co. Boston" above center and "U. S. Government Ser. No." below center, with Arabic numerals and a seconds track. The case features a hinged bezel with glass crystal and a winding aperture on the side. Serial number 599500 is stamped on the back of the case. A retailer label on the lower back reads
