1995 Fender Japan "Jazz Bass Special" (Black)

1995 Fender Japan "Jazz Bass Special" (Black)Made famous by Duff McKagan, the Fender Japan Jazz Bass Special was a hybrid that combined two of Fender's famous bass styles. Black painted ash body with a maple neck (nice wide 43mm nut width) and 22 fret rosewood fingerboard, it weighs 3. 8kg's. Looks to be all original except for a new G tuner. Heavily used condition as pictured with some finish wear and tear from basic use. It's been played by someone who knows how to maintain their instruments

it's the simplicity of the DC-2 and it's perfectly balanced settings that make it one of the greats

Neck is straight and the truss adjusts as it should

The guitar was given a full setup and service with a fretboard oil

Loaded with the original U stamped ST Vintage MKII alnico single coils along with Tokai stamped saddles and the original CBS style tuners

Sherwood Green Metallic finish with a matching '54 style headstock

OD-1's are drying up on the market for collectors and this one ticks a lot of boxes

the D model is the deep body variant with a full 10cm thick profile

untested on battery power

but all the electronics are in there and look to be in good condition)
